Donate to a good cause–help your community organizations, just asking for $5

Darnell Jackson and the youth at work, what better way, keep them off the streets, helping their community as this photo shows, summer 2010.

The East Side Redevelopment Corporation has started a  special  fund-raiser during the month of April to raise funds for their summer program.  The funds for summer youth programs have experienced some cuts at the state level so it’s important for the community to step forward and help out in this important community endeavor to keep our kids busy this summer off the streets.

The  Eastside Redevelopment Task Force Executive Director, Darnell Jackson has asked for donations, small ones or large ones accepted too to keep the organization going, serving the people on the East Side of  Buffalo, especially its youth to “bring back respect and prosperity to the neighborhood.”

“In order to open the center back open, We have to spend 10,000 dollars to get up to code, until then the kids will have to stay out in the cold, already been 5 weeks, God will provide, no doubt. Why do they always target our kids, but claim they want to stop the crime and violence? Instead of helping they close us down, wow.”

“Everyone who Is a friend needs to really get involved and at least send in 5 dollars a month for our mission. With a lot of little donations we can do a lot of big things, Praise God!”

Donations are tax-deductible. Checks should be made out to E.R.T.F. Inc.  Scroll down to the DONATE BUTTON at the home page of the Eastside Redevelopment Organization.
